The first correct answer was received from Elizabeth Scott, who also submitted the first set of correct answers for the Flojo/Mojo/HoJo quiz.
This document is an analysis of bones thought (by some) to be Amelia Earhart's.
The bones were found on the Polynesian island of Nikumaroro by British soldiers in 1940. A physician (Dr. D.W. Hoodless of the Central Medical School) measured them and wrote this report, deciding that they were from a short man, but not a Polynesian. Recently, two forensic anthropologists re-analysized the numbers (the bones themselves have been lost) and concluded that the skeleton was actually that of a white female, of Northern European extraction, perhaps 5' 7". TIGHAR (The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery), which rediscovered this paperwork, has concluded that the bones are Amelia Earhart's, who vanished in 1937 while attempting to become the first woman to fly around the world. The Air and Space Museum has its doubts, and won't conclude anything until the actual specimens are located and studied.
